Gary M. Ferguson, MD, is a specialist in all aspects of hip and knee replacement surgery. His innovative techniques include the application of ceramics, computer-navigated surgery, resurfacing arthroplasty, partial arthroplasty of the hip and knee and minimally invasive surgery. He is a clinical assistant professor of orthopaedics at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He is also a contributing innovator and developer of a total knee replacement that has enjoyed worldwide acclaim and is in use worldwide.
Ferguson completed his orthopedic residency training at Harvard University after earning his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He has had specialized post-graduate training in the area of total joint replacement of the hip and knee at the Mayo Clinic. He has traveled worldwide to provide total joint replacement surgery education and has performed hip and knee replacement surgery in Germany, Spain, Switzerland and China, in addition to training laboratories in the United States.
